Superb Imaging

See more with Superb imaging.

We’ve migrated the Agile Acoustic Technology into the LOGIQ* S8 S-Agile architecture. Combined with the newly expanded family of E-Series transducers, including the dedicated biopsy probe and 3D/4D, the S-Agile architecture helps provide superb image quality in a wide range of clinical applications including abdominal, musculoskeletal, small parts, breast, vascular, OB/GYN, cardiology and more.

  • S-Agile Architecture - Dynamically optimizes image acquisition for virtually every body type. Acquire remarkable images easily with minimal keystrokes, and achieve outstanding image uniformity.
  • E-Series Transducers - Help improve sensitivity, penetration, spatial resolution and image uniformity thanks to technologies as Acoustic Amplifier, Single Crystal and Active Matrix. Additional specialty transducers, including also the dedicated biopsy probe and 3D/4D capabilities, help expand clinical coverage and increase clinical confidence.
  • High-Definition Speckle Reduction Imaging (SRI-HD) - Helps increase contrast resolution and maintains tissue appearance.
  • CrossXBeam* - Spatial compounding tool that combines multiple images from different angles into a single real-time image to help achieve a clearer view, have a better border definition and reduce lobe artifacts leading to an increased image quality.
  • Coded Harmonic Imaging -help increase spatial and contrast resolution.
  • Elastography - help evaluate tissue stiffness using elastography to obtain additional diagnostic information. Elastography includes tools that help make it easy to use and help in patient management decisions. The Qualitative package provides useful tools to help increase your feature confidence, as the qualitative compression bar and the quality graph. A semi-Quantitative strain-based package provides E-Index and E-Ratio values together with a Q-Analysis tool that help add objective information to the  coded color Elastography pattern.
  • LOGIQView - Displays images over an extended length of anatomy, helping provide excellent visualization and more clinical information.1
  • B-Flow* - displays true flow hemodynamics without the limitations of Doppler, helping enhance clinical confidence in vascular assessment.
  • Contrast Enhanced Ultrasound, a variety of settings based on the Amplitude Modulation technique helps you achieve superb contrast agent resolution, sensitivity and penetration in a wide range of clinical applications. An extensive Quantitative package completes the offering with Raw Data TIC Q-Analysis.
  • Volume Ultrasound uses 3D/4D hybrid transducers (including the new RAB6-D) to acquire anatomical volumetric dataset that can be reviewed and re-processed at a later stage. The anatomy can be displayed in different views helping increase user’s diagnostic confidence.
    • Multiplanar imaging allows you to view any plane individually or simultaneously
      with other orthogonal planes.
    • The C-plane allows you to display areas in an imaging plane parallel to the
skin—ordinarily impossible using conventional 2D ultrasound.
    • Tomographic Ultrasound Imaging (TUI) enables volume data to be viewed
in multiple slices, much like CT and MR.
    • Volume Calculation (VOCAL) helps you evaluate irregular structures by automatically calculating volumes based on automated or manual tracing of the structure.

Volume Ultrasound can work in combination with Color, PDI and Contrast Enhanced Ultrasound for abdominal and vascular studies.

Simplified workflow

Simplified workflow that benefits you and your patients.

The more you improve workflow, the more time you can devote to patient care. The LOGIQ S8 provides easy-to-use tools that help busy departments and practices enhance workflow.

  • Ergonomic design helps promote comfort, convenience, and mobility, enabling reduced user fatigue and risk of injury.   With a weight of 85 kg - half of a  traditional general imaging scanner—this portable design fits easily into tight exam rooms and crowded bedsides. View a video about LOGIQ S8 ergonomics.
  • Efficiency features help improve results with reduced keystrokes, exam
consistency and smooth archiving and reporting.
    • Raw Data - allows a virtual rescan of the patient at any time
after the study, on the system or at a remote workstation.
    • Compare Assistant - allows the user to easily retrieve a prior
study and view it in split screen while performing the current
study. This enables prior views and scanning parameters to
be replicated, helping to provide consistency and enabling
      confident interpretations.
    • Automated measurement tools - help streamline measurement
intensive exams such as breast, cardiac, vascular and
      obstetrics, with user-guided automatic measurements
that can be easily edited or accepted.
    • Productivity Packages for breast and thyroid exams
enable the user to label, measure, and describe anatomy quickly and confi dently – plus generate DICOM® SR compatible summaries.
    • Auto IMT - provides automatic edge detection for intima-media
thickness (IMT) and helps to increase the consistency and
reliability of IMT measurements when evaluating the carotid artery.
    • Vascular Quantification -  The 2D Quantification package provides extensive measurement of the vascular activity in user selected  Region-of-Interest (ROIs) during a multi frame acquisition. This tool enables to get information about the max and min enhancement, the frames where it occurs, the percentage of vascularity in the ROI and more. The feature could help in staging an inflammation process and monitoring targeted vascular therapies, as in rheumatology.
    • Scan Assistant - Scan Assistant anticipates and preps the next
step of a scan, helps reduce keystrokes, and frees you to focus
on the important exam elements. A GE-commissioned study
performed by an independent third party sonographer revealed
a 78% reduction in keystrokes and a 49% reduction in exam
time. Scan Assistant performs the following tasks:
      • Initiates and auto-completes any required measurements
      • Automatically steers color Doppler
      • Sets up imaging controls and modes
      • Insert comments
      • Automatically reorders images to your preference, independent of acquisition sequence. View a video about LOGIQ S8 Scan Assistant.
  • Multi-modality Query Retrieve allows you to retrieve a previous exam, acquired by any imaging modality (e.g. CT, MRI, Mammo, U/S. etc…) scroll it and display it in a side-by-side screen with your live ultrasound image.
  • Power Assistant 1 provides the system battery power during transport to help decrease system shut-down and reboot time by 90%2 - helping achieve excellent productivity for high quality, portable exams
  • Streamlined archiving and reporting - LOGIQ S8 provides robust DICOM connectivity and is compatible with many imaging IT solutions. This connectivity allows you to save images to a central location and review alongside other imaging modalities.
    • ViewPoint* 6, GE Healthcare's reporting and image management solution, users can connect with a PACS or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) for comprehensive patient record storage. This can help improve workflow and enhance communication throughout the facility as well as with referring physicians.
