Until now, nuclear medicine has relied on relative qualitative assessments for diagnosis and treatment monitoring. As one of our first quantitative applications, Q.Metrix marked the first step in our vision to bringing quantitative accuracy to nuclear medicine.
Q.Metrix quantitates tracer uptake across any lesion and any organ. Using SPECT and CT segmentation tools, it defines regions of interest and computes volumes of interest for uptake measurements1. It leverages the system's sensitivity with scan parameters and patient demographics to calculate a scaling factor that converts qualitative data into absolute quantitative values. The result is a SPECT SUV value that enables you to accurately monitor response to treatment.
